The College of Nursing Science, Eku, offers a range of nursing programs designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required for a successful career in healthcare. The following are the main programs available:

We cover many curriculum

ND Nursing Program

Overview: The ND Program prepares students to become Registered Nurses (RNs). the program combines theoretical instruction with practical clinical training. The curriculum covers key areas such as nursing science, general and community health, pharmacology, midwifery, and psychiatric nursing, equipping students with the skills needed to deliver holistic and patient-centered care. 

Post-Basic Nursing Program (Specialized Nursing)

Duration: Varies (typically 1-2 years)Overview: This program is designed for registered nurses who wish to specialize in a particular area of nursing, such as pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, or midwifery. It provides advanced knowledge and practical skills in the chosen specialty, preparing nurses for leadership roles in those fields.

Basic Nursing Program

Duration: Typically 3 years. This foundational program prepares students for professional nursing practice, offering a comprehensive curriculum that includes courses in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, maternal and child health, and community health nursing. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for licensure by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

The Community Nursing Program

Overview: The Community Nursing Program prepares nurses to promote health and provide care within diverse populations and community settings. Focusing on preventive care, health education, and public health, the program emphasizes working outside traditional hospital environment such as in schools, community clinics, home health, and public health departments.
